My new [a href="http://www.rybrook.co.uk/bmw/new-cars/new-bmw-5-series-saloon"]Bmw 5 Series in Shropshire[/url] is the greatest car I have ever had; it’s the perfect mid-size/executive car and its BMW’s second best selling model after the 3-Series but represents about 50% of the company’s profits.

The Bmw 5 Series was first introduced in 1972, which is now in its sixth generation, and is sold in sedan and touring body styles. On January 29, 2008, the 5 millionth 5 Series was manufactured, which was a 530d Saloon in Carbon Black Metallic.

The 5 series began the BMW tradition of being named with a three-digit number, the first digit represents the model and the following two digits represent the size of the engine in decilitres, which is the main distinguishing difference. There also additional letters or words at end of the three-digit number to define the fuel type.

Since its launch, the 5 series has won many awards, including staying on Car and Driver magazine’s annual Ten Best list for six years straight, from its introduction in 1997 through 2002. It was also Motor Trend’s Import Car of the Year for 1997 and What Car? Executive Car of the Year 1997 through 2002.

The BMW 5 series comes standard with four electric windows, climate control, steering wheel-mounted controls for the stereo, cruise control, a CD player, and a head-up display that projects vital information on to the windscreen in the driver’s line of sight. The BMW 5 series also has many safety features, including six airbags, stability control, deadlocks, locking wheelnuts and an alarm.
